Comprehensive Dental Care for Olathe Families
Five Point Family Dentistry provides preventive, restorative, cosmetic, and family dental care from our office on S Ridgeview Rd in Olathe, Kansas.
Our goal is to help patients understand what is happening, what options are available, and what next step makes sense. Whether you are visiting for a routine cleaning, a same-day crown, a filling, clear aligner therapy, whitening, dentures, implant restoration, or periodontal care, Dr. Dave and the team keep the experience clear, personal, and practical.
WHAT WE OFFER
Digital radiographs help Dr. Dave and the Five Point team see what cannot always be seen during a visual exam. These images support clearer evaluation, better patient education, and more informed treatment planning.
Periodontal Evaluations &Therapy
Enhanced images for detecting disease & its current state
Visuals for patient education
Composite fillings are tooth-colored restorations used to repair areas affected by decay, wear, or small damage when a filling is appropriate.
Dr. Dave evaluates the tooth, explains what he sees, and helps the patient understand whether a filling or another treatment option makes the most sense.
Healthy gums are an important part of a healthy smile. At Five Point Family Dentistry, periodontal evaluation helps the team check the gums and supporting bone around the teeth.
During routine care, the team may measure gum pockets, check for changes around the teeth, review digital radiographs, and look for signs that the gums need additional support. When periodontal concerns are present, Dr. Dave and the team explain what they see and talk through practical treatment options.
Every patient is different, so periodontal care is based on the patient’s current needs, health history, and long-term goals.
Be proactive when it comes to your health. Gum disease has been linked to a number of systemic issues including:
Diabetes
Heart disease
Pulmonary issues in older adults
It is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults
The key things to remember is that if caught early, and with routine care, periodontal disease can be held in check. Every patient is unique and so are their treatment needs. That is why we evaluate your periodontal health at each routine visit.
We utilize the following in our diagnosis:
Periodontal probe (measuring device)
We check the teeth for mobility
Clinical exam
Digital radiographs
We are looking for changes in gum and bone levels around the teeth in your mouth. If it is determined that you have periodontal disease, we can help.
Dentures and partials can help replace missing teeth and support everyday functions like smiling, speaking, and eating.
A full denture is used when an entire arch of teeth needs to be replaced. A partial denture may be used when some natural teeth remain and can help support the appliance. At Five Point Family Dentistry, Dr. Dave talks with patients about their options, comfort, fit, and long-term maintenance so the final plan makes sense for the person, not just the procedure.
They can be a combination of acrylic resin and metal, or acrylic only. If you are a denture or partial patient, please feel free to ask about our design process.
Dental implants are often placed by a specialist. Once the implant is ready to be restored, Five Point Family Dentistry can help with the restoration phase.
Dr. Dave works with patients and trusted dental partners to restore implants with crowns or other prosthetic options when appropriate. The goal is to create a restoration that looks natural, feels comfortable, and supports the patient’s overall dental plan.
SureSmile Clear Aligners may be an option for patients who want to improve tooth alignment without traditional braces.
At Five Point Family Dentistry, Dr. Dave evaluates each patient individually to determine whether clear aligner therapy is a good fit. If SureSmile is appropriate, the team explains the process, expected commitment, and next steps so patients can make an informed decision.
Teeth whitening can help patients brighten their smile for everyday confidence, photos, events, or a personal refresh.
At Five Point Family Dentistry, the team helps patients understand whitening options and whether whitening is appropriate based on their teeth, existing dental work, and smile goals.
We provide an in-office tooth whitening service that also includes custom-made whitening trays and take-home gel. This allows you to touch up your smile from time to time when you notice it begins to fade.
This is especially true when preparing for special events. Give us a call and allow us to brighten your smile and your day.
Root canal therapy may be recommended when the inside of a tooth needs treatment in order to help preserve the tooth.
At Five Point Family Dentistry, Dr. Dave explains what is happening, what the options are, and what the process involves so patients can make informed decisions without feeling overwhelmed.
There is not one definitive cause related to endodontic pain. Trauma, decay, a history of multiple restorations. These can all be causes that lead to tooth pain and infection. In the event you begin to experience these symptoms, please do not hesitate to call for an evaluation and or treatment. Our goal for you is to first and foremost get you comfortable. From there we can determine where our treatment path will lead.
When a tooth cannot be restored or is causing other dental concerns, tooth extraction may be discussed as an option.
Dr. Dave and the Five Point team approach extractions with clear explanation and patient comfort in mind. The goal is to help patients understand why removal may be recommended and what the next steps may look like afterward.
Routine hygiene visits help patients stay ahead of dental problems before they become bigger concerns. These visits may include cleaning, gum health checks, digital radiographs when needed, patient education, and a dental exam.
At Five Point Family Dentistry, hygiene is not treated like a quick checklist. It is part of the long-term relationship between the patient and the dental team.
Five Point Family Dentistry offers same-day dentistry options for certain restorative needs, including crowns when appropriate. Using in-office technology, Dr. Dave can evaluate the tooth, plan the restoration, and discuss whether same-day treatment is a good fit.
Not every situation is the same, so the team will explain what is recommended, why it matters, and what options are available before treatment begins.
These restorations are then customized to you the individual while you sit in the chair. Same day procedures with same day restorations placed for your convenience.
